     I am a Florida State Student from a small town outside of Chicago, IL. I am Literature, Media, and Culture major, and I am a senior, graduating in the Fall of 2024. Living in Florida for the past three years has been a rollercoaster. I spent my freshman year at FSU - Panama City, and as my first exposure to the south, it was definitely a culture shock. 

    In high school, I was apart of the Future Business Leaders of America, and there I was exposed to a lot of technology. I helped create websites as well as operate numerous programs and robots. I took a web design class where I code an entire website from scratch. My sophomore year at FSU, I took a web programming and design class, where I worked with numerous coding software.

    The primary learning network that I use is the Canvas app. It notifies me when I have assignments due, as well as gives me access to my grades and coursework at anytime. Offline, I tend to go to a lot of cafes and libraries to complete assignments. I tend to go with a group of friends, and we all feel more productive when everyone is all doing work. I gain a lot of support from my family and friends when it comes to pursuing my career goals as well as my personal ones as well.

EME 2040 has definitely been a positive experience for me. Creating lesson plans and researching teacher methods has made me reconsider what I would like to do with my career as well as assist me in receiving an education minor. I really like the class activities. They allow you to be creative while still being professional. That being said, I do feel like the assignments can be a lot to grasp, I am finding difficulty trying to gain knowledge about a certain platform to complete the assignment. While working on the Web Design Assignment, I learned how to create a website and personalize it. I also learned how to utilize Google Calendars as well as how to insert it into a website. I enjoyed being able to create a lesson plan that involved literature that is beneficial to students as well as literature that I am passionate about. I may want to incorporate these skills in the future by creating a website lesson plan for students and parents to keep track of assignments and announcements.  My Website I do not know much about AI. I do not use it in my day to day life. Seeing how AI is impacting the writing field as well as the film and education fields prevents me from using it. By relying on AI, it discourages students and adults do not use their imagination. By discouraging children to use their imagination, their brains will not fully develop and they expect every answer given to them. They may not learn how to be creative and provide their own ideas.  As a teacher, I want to teach my students about copyright and fair use regardless of their age. With that being said, it is important to teach them based on what grade level. I would want to practice with small activities, simple quizzes as well as giving them scenarios so that they can understand the importance. What I learned about copyright and fair use is that simply giving credit, is not enough, and that you have to make sure you are thorough with your citation. Slapping their name on the end of your product is not acceptable and will cause copyright issues. One of the technology implementation issues I would like to focus on in my classroom is student privacy. Numerous friends of mine, and myself included, are used to "internet stalking" people that we are interested romantically, or anyone that we so choose.
